Easy Permission is a tool to make the “Permission Customization” process very easy for any complex use cases. It’s a single page application to analyze, design, develop & QA to your Org’s schema permissions. It’s an admin and dev productivity tool to perform large scale of permission work.

Salesforce provides out of the box profile and permissionset modification features through the setup. It has some limitations, due to which updating permissions is very time consuming task.

1. You can only give permission through sequential approach.
2. You can't modify object/field permission for corresponding profile and permissionset at the same time.
3. You can't view object/field permission for multiple profiles/permissionsets.
4. You can't export permissions.
5. You can't mass update permission.
6. You can't clone permission from one profile to another profile or one object to another object.
7. You can't get a deployable package in single click.
8. There is no view through which you can update permission of many objects with one profile/permissionset or one object with many profiles/permissionsets.

1. Standard permission update :
   For standard categories the user can select object/profile/permissionset available in the org.
2. Custom List based permission update :
   For custom list category the user can select options among the Custom List Records where groups of object/profile/permissionset can be defined acccording to Projects/Appliacations. For example let say you have an application named 'ABC Inc.' and in that project 10 objects are being used , so you can group those objects in 1 Custom List(Group) and whenever you want to update permission for objects related to 'ABC Inc.' you can select that object group and can update permission of that 10 objects at once. In this way you can save time by not selecting those 10 objects individually. Same type of groups can be created for profiles and permission sets also.

Since Easy permission app is made for mass operations on Profiles and Permission Sets, it provides two types of execution behaviour.

1. Synchronous :
   When a user has selected a combination of 100 (Default Size) permission updates, the Easy Permission app will run in the synchronous mode. During this operation, users will get results on the App screen itself.

Note: It can be changed from App Setting Tab -> Synchronous Record Limit

2. Asynchronous :
   If a user selects a combination of more than 100 (Default Size) permission updates, the Easy Permission app will run in the Asynchronous mode. During this operation, the app screen will be blocked until the execution of the Async job is completed, and then results will be shared on the user's email.

Note: It can be changed from App Setting Tab -> Asynchronous Batch Job Size

1. Subject: App Name (Operation Name) - Date.
   Example: Easy Permission (Mass Permission) - 04/11/2019
2. Body: It will contain summary of total processed permission, success and error count.
3. Attachment: It will contain 4 attachments, Attached file would be as follows :-
   Profile - Success File : User will get this file for success results, If user is updating Profile's permissions for Object/Fields.
   Profile - Error File : User will get this file for error results, If user is updating Profile's permissions for Object/Fields.
   Permission Set - Success File : User will get this file for success results, If user is updating PermissionSet's permissions for Object/Fields.
   Permission Set - Error File : User will get this file for error results, If user is updating PermissionSet's permissions for Object/Fields.

In case if some new objects are being built/developed in the org, after the installation of this app or if you could not find some objects in an Object's list, then click on the 'Refetch Schema' button.
